I ordered these in L & XL for my daughter who normally wears a size 10 in juniors. She is 5'7 , 130 lbs, with an athletic build. The L fit her the best. They are very cute with a built-in bikini bottom, and they aren't bulky or heavy. They aren't super short or long - they looked on her as they do in the photo.

I bought these for my 20 year old daughter that prefers to cover up a bit more when on the beach. She liked them so much that she asked me to order her another pair. She typically wears a size 18 but wanted these shorts to fit nice and comfortable. So we opted for the 3X and they fit her perfectly. So you might size up if you want a slightly more relaxed fit. They still fit perfectly snug enough to stay up while swimming or walking the beach.

Wonderful cotton. Doesn't shrink in wash. Perfectly sized - I wear a 6 or if run small, an 8. It's fine that they are tad big because I live in them at home, but not afraid to wear in public. Have now bought 6 pairs in different colors!
