These pants are light weight sweat pant type material, warm without being too warm. The size fit perfect. I am about 5'5 and weigh about 140-145 and I got the small. The length is good, below the ankle but not too long. I washed them once and they didn't shrink. The only little thing that happened when washed was the seam on the left leg twisted slightly towards the front of the leg, but just a little. I can deal with it. Hopefully it won't twist further. I am going to buy more of these, just wish th

Update: still wearing these shorts and are still holding up well after a gazillion washes :)Hands down, my favorite shorts I have ever owned. When you first put them on, they are a bit snug on the hips, but after a few minutes, seems to adjust well. These shorts are a great length; I’m a mom, but still enjoy shorter shorts :) .
